IN SOLIDARITY

Oxygen Art Centre wishes to unequivocally state our support for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and our solidarity with those demanding justice for Black and Indigenous lives lost to police violence and brutality.

We express our rage, our grief, and we reaffirm our commitment to disrupting and dismantling these systems through our research, art, activism, and mentorship.

We stand with our communities in affirming Black Lives Matter and Indigenous Lives Matter.

As an artist-run centre we are committed to challenging inequality in our communities and beyond, working toward decolonization, and embracing inclusion. We pledge to work toward equity and positive social change. We consider this an ongoing process to be undertaken with increased urgency, and acknowledge that our efforts are informed by the labour of BIPOC communities.

In solidarity, resolve, and the freedom that bring new futures.
