Oxygen Art Centre welcomes Megan K. Quigley in the position of Research Assistant.

Megan K. Quigley is an MA student in the Art History department at Concordia University, working and learning as a guest in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. She is a settler of mixed Irish and Filipina descent, raised in Istanbul, Turkey. She holds a BA in Gender Studies and English Literature from The University of Victoria and a BFA in Art History and Studio Art from Concordia University. Megan’s research and curatorial practices are concerned with decolonial methodologies, critical geographies, hospitality, and land-based research approaches. Her current research considers the queer dimensions of public food gardens.

Megan has a background in artist-run-centres as well as the anti-violence and community education sectors. She has previously held positions with Primary Colours/Couleurs primaires, Open Space, and The fifty fifty arts collective. Megan is thrilled to be joining the Oxygen team in the capacity of Research Assistant and looks forward to researching and supporting the centre’s ongoing equity and social justice commitments.
