Chanelle Adams is a researcher, writer, and artist currently based in Switzerland. She is a graduate of Brown University, the Γcole des hautes Γ©tudes en sciences sociales, and a Fulbright scholar. At present, she is a doctoral student of geography at the University of Lausanne. Her dissertation focuses on how heightened demand for natural wellness products during the pandemic has influenced the livelihoods and practices of essential oil producers in the highlands of Madagascar.

Zairong Xiang is the author of Queer Ancient Ways: A Decolonial Exploration (2018). He is assistant professor of comparative literature and associate director of art at Duke Kunshan University. He was the chief curator of the βminor cosmopolitan weekendβ at Berlinβs HKW Haus der Kulturen der Welt in 2018 and editor of its catalogue minor cosmopolitan: Thinking Art, Politics, and the Universe Together Otherwise (2020). His research intersects feminisms and queer theories, literary and visual studies, philosophical and religious inquiries in their decolonial variants in Spanish, English, Chinese, French, and Nahuatl.

While in residence, the public are invited to attend three reading group events at the artist-run centre on Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The events will focus discussion on shared readings related to Hoβs residency. Participants will also engage in traditional Chinese tea ceremony and I Ching readings during the events.
