Sell your cleverness, and buy bewilderment  – Rumi

For one day, let your inner critic take a long nap and give the right side of your brain permission to play on the page. Through a series of guided writing prompts we will tap into our unconscious minds and dig up the jewels hiding in our imaginations. Drawing from Liz Gilbert’s Big Magic, Austen Kleon’s Newspaper Blackout, and Natalie Goldberg’s techniques of entering sideways, we will write a series of new poems and come away with take-home tools and insights to awaken our unconscious in our everyday lives.
