COVID-19 Prevention

Given the ongoing pandemic, Oxygen will not be hosting opening receptions or in person artist talks for the time being; however, our in gallery presentations will be supplemented with online engagement opportunities.

Oxygen will be open to the public with the following prevention protocols in place. As such, the in-gallery experience will be a bit different when you come to visit. To plan your trip please find our COVID-19 prevention protocols below:

☞ Hand Sanitizer will be available to all visitors at the front door. We encourage all visitors to use the provided hand sanitizer prior to entering the centre.

☞ Practice Social Distancing: Ensure 2 metres (at least 6’6”) away from any other individual. Seating is encouraged, if possible.

Face mask is recommended when indoors. Free masks are available at the entrance.

☞ Front door and windows will remain open during hours of operation (weather permitting).

☞ Please stay home if feeling ill or you share a residence with someone who is ill or experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms.

☞ Utilization of air purifier throughout the duration of in person programming.

☞ Utilization of disinfecting wipes and frequent hand washing encouraged.

We are committed to reducing the spread of COVID-19 in our community and thank you in advance for your continued support. If you would like to plan ahead for your visit, make an appointment to view the exhibition, or learn more about our cleaning and prevention protocols, please click here and/or contact us.

It is possible that programs taking place in the Centre will be cancelled or postponed at any time. Updates will be made to participants and/or students via email. While we will attempt to offer 24-hour notice, provincial and regional changes to protocols may occur at any time.

FACILITY PROCEDURES FOR STAFF & VISITORS (PDF)

Over the past few months, our staff have continued to work remotely to establish new programs to better support contemporary art, artists, and our community. We have been able to do this with the generous support of you, our supporters and members, and our funders, which include the Canada Council for the Arts, BC Arts Council (Resilience Supplement), Vancouver Foundation, Columbia Basin Trust, United Way, and Osprey Community Foundation (Better Together). This assistance has been integral to our stability during this difficult period, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation!
